Garage Mode in Hill Climb Racing
The game mechanism, a diverse range of vehicles, and stages are the things that caused this game to gain so much popularity in the gaming community.
In this game, you can customize your vehicle according to the terrain situation or your choice. For this purpose, fingersoft introduces “Grage Mode.” In this mode, you can customize a car with different engines, tires, and even frames (Chasis).
Garage Mode plays an important role in building a vehicle that can add new records in your driving journey with hill climb racing. That is why we have built a separate guide for you to understand every part of this mode fully.
What is Garage Mode?
Although you have Hill Climber for free, this is not the end. You can use other body frames, too. However, to get new frames, you have to spend more money. The first frame will be unlocked by spending 1 million coins. Any subsequent frame usage will charge you a coin price of the previous plus 1 million.
You can upgrade hill climbers by adding different tires and engines. Mixing different parts makes a unique and custom vehicle that will help you win races on various tracks. For example, if you want a long run in the “Desert” stage, which has a gravel surface, then “Gravel Tires” will be your best companion for this.
Similarly, to make a vehicle climb steep hills, you can use a powerful engine. So, this mode will provide lots of assistance and ease in making more records in the game.
Features of Grage Mode
Engine Types
So, we will discuss every engine that is present in the game.
Inline Engine
The inline engine is the most basic engine that you can use for your vehicle. It has two variants.
The V4 variant is known for its 20% low fuel consumption. But if you want to use this engine, then you must compromise on very low power output.
Due to low power output, this is a useless engine for almost all the stages of hill climb racing.
The inline V6 engine launched with 30% more enhanced power than the v4 engine.
But with improved power, its fuel consumption is relatively high and has good efficiency.
Diesel Engine
Diesel engines, as its name suggests, use diesel as fuel. It comes in three variations:
If you are required to achieve more efficiency with 50% less fuel consumption, Then you can use V6 engine for your vehicle from Garage Mode.
8 is an upgraded variant of v6. In this variant, you will get enhanced power with a 40% increase in torque, which helps you in more controlled flips/backflips.
However, the v8 consumes slightly more fuel than its predecessor. Trucks are the most suitable vehicle for getting maximum benefits from b8.
Diesel Engine v8TT (Twin Turbo) gives you an extra 40% power as compared to v6 and v8.
Although the V8TT gives you 40% more power, this engine uses slightly more fuel than the V4 and V6. Super Diesel 4×4 is the perfect vehicle for the V8TT engine.
V-Type Engines
V-type engines are also poor engines in hill climb racing games. It comes in three variants:
The V4 engine is the first variant of the V-type engine family. Its six pistons will give you 40% more power. The drawback of this engine is that it has very poor fuel efficiency.
If you want to get 60% more power, then you can use a V6 engine, which uses eight pistons.
It is perfect for your off-road journeys. Its drawback is the same as the V4 engine, “Low Fuel Efficiency.”
This engine will give you 80% more power with its powerful twelve-piston engine design.
Due to the increased number of pistons, fuel efficiency significantly decreases.
Electric Engines
Electric Engines are designed to use battery power instead of traditional power sources. It comes in two variants:
An electric engine is a battery-driven engine that gives you 20% more acceleration and good efficiency.
The Electric Zap engine comes with some upgrades that will give you 40% more acceleration and enhanced efficiency.
Gas Turbine
Gas turbines are thrust engines that have terrible fuel efficiency and 40% more power. Along with poor fuel efficiency, this engine also lags in providing good initial torque.

Tires
There are eight types of tires available in the garage mode of the game. Each type has two variants, basic and pro. The pro version has more traction as compared to the basic version.
The appearance of the tires also changed with their type and version. Following are the details of the tire that you can use in any vehicle combination in the garage mode.
Gravel Tire
You can get the best performance on gravel surfaces like “Deserts” with the help of gravel tires.
Its rarity level is “Common,” which means it is easily available in the game. Its basic version provided 30% traction power. However, its pro version gives an extra 60% of traction.
Street Tires
Street tires are present in the game at a “Rare” rarity level, which means it is harder to get this tire. It is useful for the following stage of the game.
Its basic version provides 30% traction and has a purple hub with a smooth outer surface.
However, its pro version has an orange hub with a thinner outer surface and provides 60 percent traction with its basic performance.
Winter tires
If you are having trouble handling your vehicle on slippery surfaces, then you must use winter tires. The rarity level of this tire is “Rare,” but you can get lots of benefits from these tires on slippery surfaces.
Winter tires provide 30% more traction on the surface during the following stages.
The basic version of the winter tire has treads on the outer surface. However, the pro version provides 60 percent traction with more threads.
Mud Tires
Mud tires rarity is “Common” in the game. These tires provide 60 percent more traction on the stages with muddy surfaces. Hence, these tires are beneficial for the following stages:
These tires also give you great control on slippery surfaces.
Tractor Tires
The specialty of tractor tires is 40 percent bigger in diameter than other tires in the game. That is why it provides 60 percent more traction on the stages with uneven surfaces like:
Its rarity level is “Common,” which means you can find these tires very easily.
Space Tires
Space tires are very difficult to find in the game with an “epic” rarity level. However, it provides 60 percent more traction on stages with low-gravity surfaces, for example
Monster Tires
Monster tires are the same as tractor tires, but they are only 10 % bigger in size. Overall, the monster tire size is 50% and provides good assistance on uneven or rough surfaces. Its rarity level is “Legendary,” which means it is not easily available.
Don’t use this tire on watery surfaces like “Season” or “Boot Camp, and stages where steep hills are present. Because on a watery surface, its grip significantly reduces to 60%.
Formula Tires
Formula tires have the same performance value as street tires but improve traction by 80%. Its rarity level is also “legendary.” It is one of the best tires in the game. Its performance on straight surfaces like the “Highway” is far better than that of any other tire.
You can say that it is a versatile tire that can be used for multiple stages.
